Step 1: Install the App from the Shopify App Store
- Go to the Shopify App Store:
- Open your browser and navigate to the Shopify App Store.
- Search for Qtane OrderEdit:
- In the search bar, type “Qtane OrderEdit” and press Enter.
- Install the App:
- Click on the Qtane OrderEdit app from the search results.
- Click the “Add app” or “Install” button to add the app to your Shopify store.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
Step 2: Access the Qtane OrderEdit Dashboard
- Go to Your Shopify Admin Panel:
- Log in to your Shopify store’s admin panel.
- Navigate to the Apps Section:
- In the left-hand sidebar, click on “Apps”.
- Find Qtane OrderEdit:
- Locate Qtane OrderEdit in the list of installed apps and click on it.
- Register and Log In:

Step 4: Add the Qtane OrderEdit Extension to Your Order Status Page
- Go to Your Shopify Theme Customizer:
- In your Shopify admin panel, click on “Online Store” in the left-hand sidebar.
- Then, click on “Customize” next to your current theme.
- Navigate to the Order Status Page:
- At the top of the customization screen, click on the navigation dropdown (usually labeled “Home page” by default).
- Select “Checkout and customer accounts”.
- Again, click on the navigation dropdown and select “Order status page”.
- Add the Qtane OrderEdit Extension:
- On the right-hand sidebar, scroll down and click on “Apps”.
- You’ll see the Qtane OrderEdit extension listed here.
- Drag and drop the extension to the desired location on the Order Status page where you want it to appear.
- Save Your Changes:
- Once you’ve placed the extension where you want it, click “Save” at the top right corner of the screen.

Set Order Edit Deadlines
- Access the Order Edit Deadline Section:
- In the Qtane OrderEdit App, navigate to the Order Edit Deadline section.
- Choose a Deadline:
- Select a predefined time frame for order modifications, such as:

Order Edit Restrictions
Control which orders or products can be modified by setting restrictions based on specific conditions. This ensures that only certain orders or products are editable, giving you more control over the order modification process.
Restrict by Order Tags
- Navigate to the Restrict Order Edits by Order Tags Section:
- In the app, go to the Restrict Order Edits by Order Tags section.
- Assign Order Tags:
- Add tags to orders that should be restricted from edits (e.g., “Claim Disable”).
- Orders with these tags will not be editable by customers.
- Save Your Settings:
- Once you’ve assigned the tags, save your settings to apply the restrictions.
Restrict by Product Tags
- Navigate to the Restrict Order Edits by Product Tags Section:
- In the app, go to the Restrict Order Edits by Product Tags section.
- Assign Product Tags:
- Tag products that should not be editable (e.g., “Within: Summers Spring”).
- Products with these tags will be hidden from the editing portal.

Restrict by Line Item Attributes
